A bit of an emergency for the Two Old Fools

My niece is coming to Spain in July. She's backpacking for three weeks maybe I could convince her to come by and slip one into her backpack lol. You are truley a loving person for taking care of her and her little ones. Please keep us updated.

Thanks for all the support everybody.

I've never had such tiny kittens before so it's great to chat about them with people who know about them.

EweSheep,

There are no pedigree Siamese around here, so I'm guessing that the Siamese gene is pretty strong. Mum's tail is striped like a tabby. Can't wait to see what the babies turn out like.

jbowyer01,

Your neice will LOVE Spain. Where is she planning on going, do you know?

I'll have to ask her. I am soooo jelouse, I have friends in Portugeal and would love to vist but alas work dictates where I go lol. Her and DH are strictly backpacking it her parents are having a fit but I think its a cool idea (of course I'm the cool aunt that supported her decision to do this lol). I'll let you know where shes planning to trek.

ChicknJ -

Great advice. Did that and it worked beautifully. All three are wide-eyed and frisky now. Actually, I was really worried about the littlest one earlier this morning, but it just had hiccups! Honestly, I'm like a neurotic first time mother.

The cat rescue we let come in on weekends and adopt out their cats got newborn kittens, so they brought them with them to handfeed during the day. The owner of the rescue brought them into the back for us girls, there were so many squeals and "ahhh"s and general girl-coos, it was insane!! I love kittens

Good for you for taking them in!!

I'm glad the kitties eyes are all clear.
Sometimes when kitties get "goobery" eyes, it means they are infected with worms. Even kitties raised in the most pristine catteries get 'em. I have a friend that used to raise Persian cats and even delivered one to Brussels from Fla-USA! She would de-worm her babies at least twice before they were 8 weeks old. She used NemexII and it was very effective for most of their parasites.
If you can't get NemexII kitty wormer-let me know and I will send you some. It is a dewormer that is very effective and safe for little kitties. I believe it is Pyrantyl Palmoate<sp
I'm glad you picked up this mama and her babies and that you have taken them in.

Victoria, that was very good advice given to you about the warm wet washcloth. When they first open their eyes it happens a lot. Mother cat sometimes just doesn't get them licked off enough. They are growing very nicely.
