I'm getting an incubator for my birthday. We'll be using shipped eggs for now. I'm looking at the Brinsea Octagon 20 Eco. What about a auto turner? It's it worth the extra$70?

i like turning by hand (not each egg mind you, but egg flats). i feel that if it is overly automated, one (myself) would tend to ignore the process and might miss something (i.e. egg oozing nastiness or temp swings)

I would most definitely reccomend the auto turner. It turns the eggs in the incubator very slowly so no jerking of the eggs. Also it's one less thing to worry about. I have the advance with auto turner and love it dosnt put me off checking and looking at the incubator 50 times a day.
