A Broody Journal! woo hoo!! updates!

Soooo, basically last night I went to candle the eggs and only two were left!
turns out that my dog (or dogs?) ate five of them!!! I was ssoooo ticked.

Its suposed to be like the third day for her two eggs she has now. So I'm planning on adding more eggs because i really wanted more than two chicks and If those dont hatch I wont have any. So I'm going to try it. hopefully the eggs she has now aren't to far along so that she abandons the new ones if the older ones hatch first.

yipppeee my broody has all her chix following her around.
but 3 didnt hatch. I cleaned up her corner and tossed the rest away. and the other hens are leaving her alone.I think they know better then to mess with her.

yipppeee my broody has all her chix following her around.

That's good! When I left my broody in with the other hens they all ate the chicks!

I managed to save three. Here is one of the lucky ones: IT was one of my D'uccles.
