Many of us help predators on to their next reincarnation as a general rule.  You may think that you are relocating hoards of them but it is possible that you are relocating the same ones multiple times.

Do you have any predator species that are protected by law? Puma? Wolverines?

Wolves and grizzly bear. I would still kill them if they don't get me first, if they were attacking my coop.

I don't but others do. The law usually has loopholes that allows for the termination of predators that are causing harm to one's self or one's livestock. Even dogs (other people's pets) are fair game here when they are attacking livestock (poultry) on a person's own property.

That is pretty open. Most the laws I believe just say "property"....
