A century of Turkey talk 2000-2100.

Here something that you didn't see for long time
The Sun!

We have seen the sun lately, with Sun dogs around it. Brrrrrr

8 degrees in mo. headed toward a high of 28.

may get above freezing Monday or Tues.

lowest it got was -13 on Friday morning.

65 in January is just wrong.

Ready for the heat wave

Feedman, I agree, its going to be 70 here in a few days. 13 is not normal here, and jeither is 70 in January. Weird winter!

R2elk...Chinooked...??

Akernaf....tell us about your flock.

It's a grand total of 4 here this morning, or was at 6:30 when I took the dogs out. Not sure exactly what it is now, I'm on my morning walk....on the teadmill of course lol. Looked like we got another half inch or so of snow overnight. The weather is calling for high 40s later in the week. Very weird!

So, I now know that Mary (BR) is one of my girls that are laying. I haven't figured out who else is yet though.

As a youngster I read many western novels. Growing up in PA I read about the Chinook winds with great disbelief since the novels after all were works of fiction. I have personally seen Chinook winds raise the temperatures here by 40°F within a matter of 2 hours. I can remember a specific night that it was -20°F when I went to work. Near morning a Chinook came up and the temperature was up to +20°F when I left for home. They are an amazing western U.S./Canada phenomenon.
