A century of Turkey talk 2000-2100.

Ralph - Snitch is a gorgeous girl....hope she gets to be a lapper :)

Holm - you should take Ralph's hen with the small eyes and save her from the freezer :D

Stephcraig - your hens are pretty ladies! I'm sure you'll get a nice looking boy for them and the poults will be adorable.

I may not be breeding to a standard color but I want them to have good body quality. And Ralphie needs to put something in his freezer!

Are the cats you are selling me Owl Killers?

I think Holm's cats are nothing short of flying predator assassins. Their fluffy cuteness is a trick.

I will be two turkeys short in the morning.

I went to put them to bed and they took off through the snow into the woods. I locked the door and came back inside,.

I need to cut down my number of turkeys, These two might as well be the first ones. I am not chasing them through 3 feet of snow in sub zero weather.

May the Owls have a good feast...

Did you just get that one back?

How often do Turkey's lay? I wonder if there's any sort of market for Turkey eggs for eating. There's a few people I sell duck eggs to who have chicken egg allergies. Go figure there's that much of a difference.

My girls lay enthusiastically in spring and early summer and slow down toward fall. Lots of people at my work love the turkey eggs for eating (I had way too many for me to eat). I have one employee who is allergic to chicken eggs and was able to eat the turkey eggs - not sure if that's the same for everyone with allergies to chicken eggs?

I sell mine to a local baker. She buys all she can from me at 3 bucks per egg. Apparently, since they are so rich, they make a huge difference in her cakes. But I love them & so does my neighbor & chicken sitter. So we all fight over them!

@MinnesotaNice the cats here are highly trained assassins. Dont let their fluff fool you!!

When my turkeys lay they lay every day. Well for the most part. It depends on how irritated they are with me that day.
