A century of Turkey talk 2000-2100.

Fishy....:gig. Still think this is funny!

No eggs here. Turkeys or chickens. Bunch of slackers.....

One of the gals in the neighborhood stopped by after her walk yesterday evening. She had bright blue tennies on and blue nail polish. Annie was totally godsmacked ! Poor girl was trying to talk about splitting up with her boyfriend & Annie couldn't help completely inspecting her shoes & nails. So what I thought was going to be a teary conversation ended up with us laughing about Annie.

That is a good therapy bird you have there!

Memphis - Annie's inspections just crack me up - wasn't she the one that objects to hats?

Eek, I think Big Bird is trying to be broody! She wouldn't get out of the nest box for treats yesterday afternoon (totally out of character), and this morning she was still in the nest box when I went to open their door. Crossing my fingers that I can discourage this again for now..... picked her up this morning and sent her outside. Took away her nest box too. At least she's not like Coco... she was a mean broody! Big Bird just makes these soft chirpy nasal peepy noises at me and refuses to budge :). Hopefully I caught it early and she's not going to be stubborn lol.

Hello,
I am looking for someone to interview. I am going to do an byc article for people trying to decide what poultry to get, I'll be asking people who raise different poultry the same questions. I'm looking for someone who has raised them for at least a couple years.

Finally back HOME! Started getting a respiratory problem at the beginning of the week, boss didn't want me dying there or giving THEM the plague so I got a one week break before the next turnaround. Coughing up blood this morning,so I'm going BACK to the saw bones. Some of the trees are starting to bloom and my hens are laying fairly well. 6 RP's in the incubator. Can't wait.
