A century of Turkey talk 2000-2100.

They found three cases of AI in Alabama. This is just south of the area in Tennessee they had previously found AI. Supposedly one case was a guinea from some swap/ flea market. They have stopped all movement of birds in Alabama. No birds in or out of the state. All shows cancelled. No swaps or flea markets. No movement within the state.

I have white marker on the front sight. The problem comes with my glasses and the glare. My night sight is to the point to where I don't drive after dark unless it's absolutely necessary

For close range night shooting I put a laser sight on my .22 revolver. If you get one that is specifically made for your firearm, they are already sighted in. They are great at night but can be difficult to see the dot during the daytime unless you are really close. In my case the sight was specifically made for my revolver and simply required me to replace the hand grips.

Before spending any money on a laser sight, be sure to check your local laws. Where I live they are illegal for use on game animals but are legal for varmints and vermin.

What of like in my case, the state and I disagree on what a squirrel is? They say it is a game animal, I think it is a vermin.....

Squirrels = rats with fuzzy tails.

Also found out they don't swim well....

I don't have squirrels here but I have seen tree rats (not squirrels) here. I had a fox squirrel here for a month or so once. I suspect that someone relocated it from town. A red tail hawk invited it to dinner and I have not seen any more.

I did find two of the tree rats "swimming" in my stock tank over the years and you are correct that they don't swim well.

Had tree rats in my attic once.. Took awhile to trap them all. Also had an albino coon have a litter in my attic. Years ago. Coons don't swim well either....

I am strongly considering staying away from swaps this year. It's too easy to bring something home on shoes, clothes and who knows where else...

Looks like your attic needed vermin proofed. Raccoons are excellent swimmers unless they are being assisted in their "swimming".

This winter I had a Northern Flicker make an entrance into my attic. I repaired the hole as soon as I found it. Of course all the insulation on the ground gave it away.
