A century of Turkey talk 2000-2100.

Well, tonight I set my last or next to last hatch. My bator is chirping but not as loudly as I would like. I fear I lost most of my eggs during the power outage... Tomorrow I'll know more.

If you have Guineas and get no complaints no one will know you have turkeys...

My RP hen hatched some poults. I looked under her last night because she had been at it a long time. She had 2 RP poults and a couple eggs left.

I had her nest in a ring i cut off a barrel. I lifted the ring this morning. One of the poults was dead. She is still sitting in the same place I gave her starter and new water. She has not moved. My bet is she will kill them all. First year turkey hens are terrible mothers. They never seem to understand the whole concept..
:hugs sorry I hope she figures it out :fl

I put the last of my turkey eggs, IL eggs and Del eggs in with some barred holland eggs. I may have enough duck eggs for one more hatch. Just depends on the girls.

Just moved 27 pheasant eggs to lockdown. 15 already internal pipped. So maybe looking toward a good hatch.

14 Turkey eggs went to lockdown 2 days ago 9 out when I got home from work. I have 20 more with a week to go. Then done with Turkey's for the year.

Now an issue I ran into with my cabinet. Dw called said it was making a loud noise. Asked I wanted her to unplug it. I said no. But one of my fans has quit. For those that have cabinets.

Does the fan in a 1502 effect the heating element on that side?

Can I finish my incubation with the eggs I have left in it or should I move to styros I use for hatches. Most all but 1 tray will hatch next week.

Gonna be a few days before I get a replacement fan.
