A century of Turkey talk 2000-2100.

The trick is figuring out their paths in advance. I'm now moving 4 shelters and trying not to run into each other or a bare spot. I wasn't doing too bad, but didn't take into account a tree root that is sure to cause all kinds of excitement. That is to say, when the birds escape while going over it. If I'm lucky, they'll be so enamored with the grass, they'll fail to notice the huge gap in the back of the shelter. :fl:fl:fl

A piece of wire maybe to cover the opening until the shelter is moved again?
Well, my son can use the exercise and that's a lot of trouble. Still not sure they'll be small enough to fit through the hole. I hope you're successful on your sale. In a few weeks I might start marketing Del's and IL/Hamburg cross pullets. Not sure yet. Trying to get my layers producing enough to sell.

I'm building new shelters this weekend for the new birds. More waters, feed troughs and nest boxes. :caf:pop

I was thinking more along the lines of something getting in.

I lost a RP last night, still not sure why.. But this am I thought I had a major crisis, turns out a opossum pulled the RP out of the compost pile and was working on an escape path and the Crows stopped it. Ralphie thanks for telling me to keep the crows around.:highfive:

Hey all! Hope you can help me. I just want to check and see if my Tom's feet are normal turkey (dinosaur!) feet. He is my first adult turkey, I have some young ones now also. He is a midget white, almost 2, and he is a big boy. His one toe looked a little fat to me, but I don't know if it's just calloused. I think he may have some doo caked on his feet also. I have a chicken hen with bumblefoot right now also, and her foot looks different. His feet do no seem puffed up like the chickens. Also, he is eating, drinking and strutting just fine. Appreciate the help! :frow

Soak his feet, that looks like bumble... not all will limp with bumble... I had a Marans hen who had huge ones in both her pads, never suspected cuz she never limped...
