Tell me about it, I have been really down because of the surgery and sickness. Yesterday I found I was 96 birds down in one pen by predators in last few days..I have not been able to feed them myself so I did not notice is as fast as I would have and my hired help just is in a dream world and has no idea about these things.

Sorry to hear that... unfortunately I understand... my other half sees a little water in a waterer and thinks they have water so they're good for the day... it's hot as h*** here, I water 2 to 3x's per day...

I have a very hard time with letting my kids help with the chicken (and TURKEY) chores because they(mostly the oldest) forgets too much and is always trying to "improve" the layout... I let her tag along but I can't trust her to do them alone.
Also, Rosabelle hatched 12 poults this weekend! Probably Friday. Cute Lil buggers.

TBH I was worried about Christmas turkey. Now I don't have to worry anymore! 12 Christmas dinners to choose from!

Got home after being gone since Thursday. Nothing like a turkey greeting! They stick tight telling me all about how terrible it was with me gone. LOL!
Even all the chickens were laying at my feet.
