I think those Seramas are the cutest little things!

Daisy butt dialed my sister. Teach me to set my phone down on the arm of the chair. I was just a few feet away & all of a sudden I could hear her saying my name. Looked over, Daisy had hopped up on the arm & was preening through her feathers. Had to explain to my sister ( who thinks I've lost it anyway) that my turkey butt dialed her. There are some conversations that are hard to have.

"Smurf" Looks like maybe some rusty color might show up?

Mystery poult #1 I've gone back and forth on this one. Sometimes it looks like a rusty black, other times like chocolate but I had others that looked a lot more chocolate than he does.

Aurora: nice looking poults. No guesses but the one really does look like a pure chocolate.

Memphis: too funny on the butt dial phone call. Daisy was just keep the lines of communication open.

Well my bourbons which haven't laid and egg in a month for the pleasure of free ranging. But I went to pick some zucchini and feed back to the birds. What did I find but a hidden best with 4 eggs in it. So they are not happy with me but they are back in lockup.

I'm still getting 3 to 6 eggs a day out of the 10 hens I have left. This year they don't want to quit. Im done hatching turkey for the year. Ended up with 9 hatched out of my last batch. Lost 2. So 7 are doing good In the brooders.

Last 2 racks of quail,and pheasant are hatching. Then incubators are empty. But there are 125 quail eggs on the counter I may try. But I really need to take a break.

All the adult birds are now getting a good mix of corn with their feed to help them bulk up for their upcoming trip.

I only got up to 78 today and apparently have my own personal rain cloud... The rain would stop and I'd go out to the deck and it would start again. I go inside and it would stop. ARG!

I finally have all the materials to build my two new houses and every time I uncover the saws the sky opens up on me.
