A century of Turkey talk 2000-2100.

My Boys might get a day delay before "the day"..Looking at the weather forecast and Monday is better than Sunday by 8 degrees and the sun is shining (for now in the forecast).

Lucky Guys...
The sun is shining here right now and the temperature is all the way up to 28°F but as normal, the wind is howling.

Overcast...72....waiting for storms & our cold front. Eeeks is weird out.

Did go trim the front bushes. The girls graced me with their presence....but layed around on the front porch supervising.

Cold, rainy, wind blowing - oh heck, it's been like that almost all summer. lol

@JRNash believes he has almost all his building permits in order and may even have them in his hands by next week. Then he can start building his "ark". :D More birds (that he has never seen before) keep showing up, along with a pot-bellied pig. Now he has a pet "Bacon" to go with his pet eggs!

Let him know that I'll be picking up a pair of pot bellies tomorrow. DW got a great deal on them, so now I'm learning pigs.:caf

lol. I will let him know. His piggie just showed up out of the blue. You have to wonder where some of these animals managed to find safety during the hurricane. His daughter already told him ' No eating the 'Bacon'. hehe

Far as I know, he is still living in his tent plus AC!

Argggggg. New weather update. 70% chance of Frozen mix and winds up to 50mph. For Real?? It's only been pouring down all day so far and my internet comes and goes as it pleases. Heading out to feed the birds before I get caught in an ice storm or a snow drift!
:barnie:barnie

How much meat can you get off one of them?
IDK. It all depends on how big they grow. Mama looks to be about 160-180 pounds so if I get them that large or larger... I'm hoping for 80-100 pounds each. More than anything they will become my pig school to get me ready for when I'm serious. I'd like to start with four mulefoot from two different herds. Bore and two sows for breeding and a feeder from each herd. I'll have to travel as the breed was almost extinct. Only twelve pairs left with different genetics. Not as bad as my choice for cattle (red poll), read an article last week, total population was down to 546.
