A century of Turkey talk 2000-2100.

my toms do not bother chicken chicks
My turkeys are spared this year... they are around 4 month’s old so they need much more meat on their bones! Plus maybe my hens will lay some fertilized eggs in the spring/summer. Do you guys have hens raise babies if a tom is around or do the incubator method?

Ugh tweaked my back. The twinge that makes you go “oh no”. Add that on top of my plantar fasciitis and I’m not doing so good for only being 29. I’m falling apart and hobbling around worse than a 90 year old.

Y there was some serious drama in the turkey coop tonight when I went out to close up. I decided to pet the Bourbon tom, congratulating him on being the keeper for this year. Romeo took serious offense to that and proceeded to tell him off and tried to peck at him. He wanted the attention all for himself lol. He'll get lots of it on Tuesday. He's going to meet the girl scouts Tuesday after school. He better behave himself!

Note from @JRNash

He said it's hard to imagine the water being up to the board on his fence and his truck under water. But he said, "My poor truck. It gets submerged then used for an observation point for the turkeys..lol".

My turkeys were using the swinging coop door as a perch today... of course all fighting over it when they have 3 other larger higher perches...

I don’t usually buy pyramid scheme products (nothing against but not my thing) but someone was selling a lightly used scentsy wax scent warmer for less than half new price. Couldn’t resist, too cute!

Wish they had a turkey one but soon enough I’ll also be adding in more poultry so crazy bird lady it is!
