The Turkey I gave to the Iraqi Vet is hatching eggs today.....(STUPID BIRD)..

She called all worried about the chicks. I told her the chances of them surviving was slim. I am not sure what she could do with 20 below in the forecast to save them, absent taking them into the house and I know her DH will not allow that.

@rjohns39 Thanks. They are all Porter crosses just under 4 month old. Been Lurking this thread a loong time and using BYC as a reference for chickens for couple years. Decided to finally join after getting into turkeys and finding this thread.

That's so funny, Molpet! I asked him if he was going stairs or elevator! He said he will be 12 feet in the air!

The house itself will start at 12 feet off the ground. They made him do an elevation study TWICE because they didn't believe him the first time!

@memphis Got crosses of Black, BR, Bronze, Oregon Gray, Slate, White Holland and Pencilled Palm.
Lost 2 within an hour after arrival, had to put one down due to injury and accidentally left a pallet standing on end against coop and had a slate tom get crushed last week when it got knocked over.
So left is 2 mottled black (tom, hen), Slate tom, Oregon Gray (tom), 2 Bronze crosses (toms), 4 White (2 tom, 2 hen) BR cross (hen) and a hen I have not figured out yet.
