Aurora....I have a marketing idea for you! Next swap...take whichever hen is the most reliable lapper & sit there with her napping in your lap! Kids will fall in love with your lapper, and their parents will have to buy them pet turkeys. And of course they can't have a lone turkey...they will need at least two!! LOL!

Did you have to pay for a vendor spot at the swap? I've considered going to one, but I don't know what the "rules" are.

Nope, it's a free swap. It's basically out together by local people and tractor supply just allowes us to use their parking lot. I guess they figure, if people buy birds and stuff off of us, they'll go in and but feed and accessories off them

Memphis it is an excellent idea that I know works I have people come over to buy chickens and ducks, then when they get here and see me handle the turkeys and how sweet and friendly they are..... they leave with turkeys and not ducks lol

Ha! Thanks for the validation Turkey Times! I know every kid who gets a chance to interact with the turkeys starts bugging their parents for one! Had one little boy tell his mom he was moving in with me to help take care of Daisy! I found it funny, not sure mom did....

Sooo my turkey hens are special and hopefully don’t break their eggs. Three hens, yes THREE of them were all in one 18x18 nest box brooding together... it was cloacas to wingtips in there
