A century of Turkey talk 2000-2100.

59 degrees here this morning! Brrrr! Alas, its temporary. Going to be back in the high 80's through the weekend & next week.

Took the girls for a stroll last night. Poor Annie has quills for a tail. Daisy's tail is grown out about a third of the way. Annie is looking a bit like Sweet Pea. Patches of quills. Little worried about what the neighbors think. They look so bad & most dont know what a molt is. Annie is grumpy as all get out! Daisy, not so much. My chickens are all bald too & have lost their little minds. Coping at night is always easy except for when they molt. They scatter around the yard. My turkeys dont act like nutcases while molting....but boy....my chickens go crazy.

Went to a poultry swap/fair today. Only one person had 3 turkeys. Lots of free roosters, decent amount of pullets/hens. And some ducks... annnnd I ended up bringing home 12 Muscovy ducks since it was the last she had and she cut me a deal. Was looking at 3-6 and my husband’s like... what’s a dozen more birds? Lol

"What's a dozen more birds"...... husband of the year!!

X2! Mine would have a heart attack!

Its 63 here this morning. I had to put on a sweatshirt.

I'm still a bit bummed turkeys cant enter the Worst Molt contest. Aurora had a great picture. Annie is pathetic looking. Sigh...

It's 46 here this morning . I'm not looking forward to going outside lol.

I really wish turkeys could enter. Every year, I have at least 1 crazy turkey molt.
