A century of Turkey talk 2000-2100.

Daisy trudged around with me all day Had a few kids stop by. She liked that. Sat in the middle of the front yard with the gaggle of little girls picking clover for her. Boy will she be surprised to see the poults this afternoon! Off to Arkansas about 8. Cant wait!!

I bet she will be so excited! Make sure we get pictures!

@memphis should have taken daisy with you. She could help you pick. May even find a Male friend while she was there. Be sure to post pics.

Just moved about 15 turkey eggs to the Hatcher. They should be hatched by the time I get home from work Tuesday night. 2 main river levees failed 1 east and 1 to the west. They let out a lot of water as a measuring station in between them dropped water level in the river 2 feet in under 20 hours.

My garden is looking good. Should have some zucchini by wed.

We made it home! With a mottled & penciled! They are young! Had set up a wire crate for them that they immediately escaped. Had to get an airline crate. Set a chair in front of the crate that Daisy immediately commodored. She's standing there talking to them. The mottled is pretty sweet. The penciled is WILD & panicky. My work is cut out! Leaving them alone with Daisy for awhile to settle in & calm down a bit. Way too young to even have a chance at determining sex. And no one even pooped for me. Tried to get the ladies to show me their little ankles....that didn't work either. The Tri-mottled is the first & only one this guy has ever bred. The others have all been mottled. Black & white. This one had brown specks too. I think he was just going to show it to me. But when I wouldn't let go of it he caved & let me take it. Pic as soon as I can take them with out a ton of stress.

Can't wait to see pictures! If anyone can tame down those babies, it's you. Especially with Daisy's help! It's good that they're young. There's a much higher chance of them bonding you, though, you've managed to fully tame and bond two adult hens so I don't see this being an issue for you at all :)
