Save the dux the anguish, butcher them first!!So, my ducks and meat turkeys are best buds. I'm wondering how the ducks are going to take it when I butcher their friends.

Lol.. I answered before reading this, but you are correct again. You could do a Ralphie and invite them to dinner also.
Those two have become beloved pets of my husband. He hates the chickens, tolerates the turkeys because they're delicious, but those ducks are his pets.![]()
@Auroradream26 - I totally understand. I hate when my printer waits until it's halfway through the first page - and runs out of ink. But those days almost seem normal now. Many mornings I have to threaten myself with bodily harm - just to get out of bed.Stay safe down there Memphis!
I'm having one of those days where everything possible seems to be going wrong. It didn't start till this afternoon but the printer stopped working on me when I needed to get a label printed. Of course it was AFTER I paid for the label. It wouldn't work on my phone either. It took 3 restarts, deleting it and reinstalling it on my computer and figuring out how to change it to a printer, not a fax machine on the computer. By then it was too late to get it in the mailbox so I had to take it to the post office. Then I accidentally gave someone the wrong PayPal address to pay me so someone got free money and I now have to ship saddles free (thank God it was only a couple bantam ones). I had to get their shipping address from them and explain what happened and in between everything, my phone would not type one sentence the way I wanted it too. It kept auto correcting EVERYTHING to something completely different. The phone started doing that when this person first started talking to me, in the midst of the printer messing with me. I WAS working on some saddles. It was only supposed to take like 3 minutes to print a label, take it to the mailbox and get back to saddle making. Instead I now have a massive mess all over the kitchen table and bedroom to take care of when I get home. It's VBS week at church so we were rushing to get to the post office before they closed and down to church in time. We won't be home till after 9.
Sorry for the massive vent butI needed to get it out! Now the kids are at church and I'm sorting in a parking lot, thinking about getting a mcflurry from McDonald's to just chill out a little.

It IS a pain when I have to follow through on the threat.
Besides, venting is good - so is the McFlurry!!![]()
I can safely and happily say I am NOT a morning person. Not in any way, shape or form. There ARE benefits to getting older. No school age kids (knock on wood) at home. No one - and especially including myself - that has to get up to go to work. The mcflurry was WONDERFUL and I'm feeling MUCH better now. I'm glad I'm not the only one that has printer drama!
I just got home and got the coops closed up, feed mixed tomorrow and 1 kid in bed. The other is taking way too long in the shower but that's nothing out of the ordinary. I've got water in for tea and I'm going to see a few saddles before I resign to a hot bath and bed.
I completely agree with the morning bodily harm threats. I'm not a morning person at all. I'm so thankful I don't have to get up early for work anymore. As much as I can't wait to ship these kids back off to school again, I know that early mornings and cold weather come along with it :/ That's when I need to threaten myself the most!
