Memphis, my youngest daughter is already making plans to walk one in a local parade. lol Hopefully, she will be able to do that - but I told her she had to take a stroller or wagon, too. She can either carry, push or pull the turkey vs him/her walking an entire parade. Since it's a rural area, they tend to organize even the tiniest parade to be as long - distance-wise - as they can make it.
Indeed it is. I switched to screws for most stuff because they hold better and longer than nails and using the drill does not cause my hands to go numb like constant hammering does. For oak, a pilot hole and soap does wonders whether using nails or screws.

Totally agree! Only we use pine here... it’s what we’ve got. I don’t do nails without an air compressor even so. I can’t usually hit them and if I do happen to accidentally hit the nail on the head, nothing much happens.

Aren’t they awfully heavy, though? My right hand cramps all up with heavy things and my left is too clumsy—but maybe not too clumsy for a nailer... still you want to be able to use a nailer with either hand, and especially with your dominant... I really hurt the back of my hand, oh, in my 20s I think. Sometime in the late Cretaceous anyway. It didn’t seem like that big a deal, but it hurt bad for a couple of years and never quite recovered. I just banged it on something, not even that hard. Go figure. But that’s why I prefer the air nailers. No heavy batteries. They’re heavy enough without those.
