A century of Turkey talk 2000-2100.

And I've really underestimated my neighbors. After visiting today during the yard sales....I am amazed at how much they like the girls. One older man who drives by frequently, but never stops, told me he looks for my girls everytime he passes my yard. Said it makes his day. Gives him a good chuckle. Never would have thought that.

How's the jake doing at his new home?

No water! Oh my! 17 degrees! Sorry Flash.

We finally made it into the 60's. Birds out enjoying themselves. Making Tiramisu for an event tonight & Daisy is on the backporch rail watching my every move. Every so often a teenage ninja hen will fly by.
Tonight they are calling for a min of 18 degrees in Cumberland, so I expect I will hit 15 or less here. I do so hate winter.

Finally, I have water again (after almost two weeks!!!) and (with fingers crossed) hope to clean all my waterers tomorrow and get the heated ones set up. Had 1/2" of ice on most of the 5-gallon ones - even at 2pm. Turkeys and ducks have no problem breaking ice - makes it easier for the chickens.

My four midget whites were out most of the day and spent a great deal of time on the little run wire roof and the old metal bar pen. One granddaughter loved on Cooper and Opal until Opal almost got her earring out - Evelyn said enough for that today!

One funny thing that happened is that when Evelyn caught a squawking Cooper, one of the Black Jersey Giant hens came running to save him. That hen stayed next to the fence and just growled at my granddaughter - you could TELL she was not happy about Cooper being held. A bit later while Evelyn and her mother were setting in lawn chairs, one of the Sussex hens came up and jumped right into her lap. The girl almost fell out of the chair.

Anyone notice a new Chantix turkey commercial? They so amuse me! The turkey reminds me of Sweet Pea. I think it's the feather colors.
I saw a little bit of it... so cute. I’m looking to catch the whole thing next time... I don’t sit and watch things a lot of the time so I miss the stuff I really wanted to watch. :lau I usually can’t see it on YouTube either because Hugh’s Net apparently has sold more super-duper plans than they can effectively supply.
