A century of Turkey talk 2000-2100.

Those bloodhounds are real droolers. I ran in the ring with a mastiff for a friend who had another one in the winners ring. She handed me a towel with instructions to wipe his mouth if he drools. Judge comes up, goes over the dog, asks me to move him and dam if he didn't shake his head & drool flew into my mouth. I almost lost my lunch. I barely made it around the ring. Blah!!!

How long do clipped wings take to grow would she be ok by spring?
I’m gonna say not too long because they’re not grown yet, and yes I’ll bet they’re re-fledged by spring—but let one of the others tell you for sure. I’m still fairly new and would hate to tell you wrong. When they’re growing fast they shed feathers here and there and grow in larger ones until they’re more or less full-sized with properly fitting feathers to match. After that they molt once a year (generally speaking, in late summer/fall.)

Ya that’s how it was with the younger ducks but idk how it works with turkeys. I think we decided to clip her as she jumped out again lol silly girl. I think it will be good to have her get used to her home too then if they free range in the summer hopefully they know where home is. We have ALOT of wild turkeys though in the summer we had a mama and all her little squirts grazing in our clearing every day!
Here she is acting like she’s being good until my fiancé went inside and she jumped out

Man...Blossom is so funny! After getting her snood rubbed last night....this morning she stood in front of me giving me side eye. Reached down & petted her head....and yep....she just stood there with her eyes closed. Rest of the girls bolted to go flap & twirl. I find it so interesting how my hens love some attention! They are almost as bad as my dogs wanting belly rubs!
