A century of Turkey talk 2000-2100.

I've been having some luck on my 1502 this year.... Now the fan went out. GQF said this is the busy time for them, which I believe and understand, but my backup Hatcher is one of those stupid styrafoam jobbers that totally starts to stink the moment a baby hatches and drops his baby refuse into the water tray below.
I'm definitely looking forward to it shipping soon, it's been a week since ordering and next batch goes into Hatcher on Wednesday. At least I have a 2 week break scheduled on the hatching after that, but the legbars finally started laying again and as those are the ones more people seem to want, I'm kicking it back up again.
Hope it comes in 2 weeks then.

If I hadn’t started hatching I could have sent you my spare.

But I don’t dare now that I have joined the ranks of the incubation squad.

Hey guys! We bought 3 white turkey poults labeled Broad Breasted White from Murdochs (from Murray McMurray hatchery), and 2 look identical, but 1 has shorter legs, longer wings, and a shorter tail. Could it be a Midget White? MM hatchery carries those. Comparison pics would be appreciated.

Post some photos of your birds... it will make it easier for folks to answer you.

I doubt it.

I think onions are offensive to turkeys.
They pulled them out and left them lay.

they had fun doing it. I caught them in the act. Turkeys are just weird with their antics.
Even wild turkeys enjoy doing that. I would just stick the same onions back in the ground.

I planted some Ailsa Craig this year because they say they can grow to 8" in diameter. I have no use for giant onions but I do enjoy giving them away and the looks of disbelief when people see them.
