Did you learn that in cute shoe rental girl training 😉

do you remember ‘Bowling For Dollars’ ... it was two strikes to win the jackpot, and a third won a vacation trip or car or something

I did in fact learn that from my time as the shoe girl 🤣
My boss fella used to make me watch for turkeys on the score board so he could announce them. He really wanted me to do it myself but I was a shy shoe girl way back when.
I know nuffin bout bowling for dollars. We was a family friendly establishment. 😉

Found a big fawn with it's head stuck in the e net fence. Looks like it died last night. Pulled 50 ft of fence down. Slight damage to the fence. Thought I was going to have to get the saws all and cut her head off to get her out. Called a buddy and he was actually still around.. he's in the middle of moving. Loaded her in the tractor bucket and dumped her in his truck. He will bring steaks and roast back later in the week.

Of course I didn't think of a picture.

What's everyone's Halloween plans? Ours are all messed up this year. Usually we would go to my parents' house to take the kids trick or treating. My parents usually do a nice display and give out full sized candy bars, dog treats, and my dad keeps a cauldron of adult "treats" (beer and wine coolers lol). They're usually the first stop for most of the local trick or treaters lol. This year, they just got over covid and are too nervous to do any of it so I guess it's just not happening. My son always misses out on the festivities in our town because of band and the Halloween parades... he is 15 now though lol.

Today is my last day of work for the season:celebrateWhile I love my job, it's been quite a year! On top of working again for the first time in 7 years I've been working like crazy from home too. I'm 14 hen saddles away from 1000 sold this year:eek: and almost 200 tutus! I'll be using my time off to build a big of a stockpile as I can so hopefully, I won't be killing myself trying to keep up next year! Here are some pictures from work that I took a couple weeks ago. I really should climb the water tower again one more timebefore ALL the leaves are gone!

My last two poults of the year have officially been integrated in to the flock. Bella (dark blue) and Sky (blue slate) are working on learning how to be friendly. Bella has taken to following Blackberry and Molly around... which means escaping the pen and free ranging all day. It won't be long before she trying to sleep in the chicken coop with those brats too lol. I need to get some pictures of those two!

Thanks for the update :love great view

I will do what I usually do on halloween.... nothing lol

As much as I want people to be safe and feel safe, I worry what effects all this stuff is having on my kids' psyche. I am not organized enough to do homeschooling, I'm barely organized enough to manage paperwork on my own farm!

Although farms have lots of bookkeeping I guess....

Also it's been snowing here since Sunday. So that's all the shoulder season we got this year....:rant
