My livestock guardian puppy is such a great dog! Him and Apollo are now a wonderful team. He has definitely bonded to the birds, even closer to them than the goats.

Looks like I ended up with 3 new Red Sweetgrass poults from my Fall Fire pair, can tell the oldest is a hen other 2 still not 100% on. So, after adding to them next spring I should be able to choose a breeding pair to add another true breeding variety to my heritage flock. Trying not to add but always seems like I add a new variety each year

Had a good laugh today. I kicked the two month old poults out to free range today for the first time.

Always having a mature tom around puts a damper on young male hormones. Today is the first time I heard a 2 month old turkey try to gobble. It was hilarious.

had a storm roll through and dump an inch on us in a half hour. That counts as a flash flood here, but in other parts of the country that is an average rainfall.

We had a really good storm roll through this morning. No clue how much rain it dropped but it was a good bit. It flashed and rumbled for a good hour and a half. I just heard another rumble a minute ago. Might be a stormy day today.

Day before around 2 inches and about the same yesterday of much needed rain. Day before soaked right in, yesterday bottom was flooded but soaked in by this morning. More than the months worth in 2 days lol

I had 0.10" of measurable rain last month. I am still sitting on 0.10" for this month.
