A century of Turkey talk 2000-2100.

That's cool! My first 2 pigeons I hand raised and when I would head over to my grandmother's house across the street they would fly after me and want to come inside. A hawk got one of them last year so the other one now stays in the pen with all the other pigeons. She still lands on me when I go in the pen but now I have a house sparrow in there too who also lands on me and they are jealous of each-other.

Ralph, glad the turkeys all made it ok. My chickens coop themselves, my turkeys sit on the railing & wait for me to coop them. Lucily they face the door and are able to fertilize my hosts on the other side of the rail. So considerate.

Loz, that pidge is one ugly baby! What do you mean you have a "house" sparrow? You have some wild bird flying around the house? I want to hear about the sparrow.

Ralph, did you get any other inquiries about the turkeys? To be fair (to them) it's probably not a good time of year to find new homes. Folks probably tied up with holiday stuff, and it's cold.

I hand raised a baby sparrow last summer, I kept her in my room cause when I would let her out she would try to land on our cat... not very good instincts lol. She was just loose in my room and would try to perch on me every moment I was in there so after a few months I needed a break and now she lives outside in the pigeon cage. She pretty much is a tiny turkey that can fly around super fast and be everywhere at once.

Oh yeah and House Sparrow is the kind of sparrow she is, they are the little brown birds that are everywhere in cities and everywhere else.

I raised a baby robin this spring who's nest was destroyed. We found one of her siblings dead the day after we found her. She lived to fly in to people's hair and snuggle up against necks. Once she started eating on her own, I took her outside and she decided she was ready to go and flew away. She did fly away one day a week or two before that but after a few hours of playing around outside, she flew back down to me to be fed lol. She was a little cutie and would talk to me from the trees every now and then. A few weeks after letting her go, I heard her talking to me from the woods. I looked and she had a couple other Robins with her :)

This dove was in my chicken coop. Idiot couldn't find the door. Finally I just grabbed him/her. It's a convicted chicken feed thief!
