A century of Turkey talk 2000-2100.

Fuzzy little guys...not much cuter! That's good news about your eggs!

I really can't wait for Mr. T babies...that's going to be fun trying to sort out the different colors!

Feisty. ..so...get rid of two boys :)() and replace them with RP & blue hens!! That would be fun!! How is Big Bird doing? Is she sitting on your lap yet?? :D

Aurora's turkeys are killing me with suspence!!

Ralphie I ended up with 9 bad eggs when I incubated the Dominique s I was sad about it but at least I got 6 healthy babies out of it.

We only ended up with 2-3" of fresh powder. I live to far north and west to get anything major from it.

We will have Mr T babies in 3 months or less!!

Mottled little tykes will be so cute......

Chaos when you did your last candle could you tell if they were good or bad? Were they quitters or non-starters?

Detached air sacs? My air sacs all look good except the one large one.

Aurora talk to them turkeys! threaten to rip them out of their shells, if someone does not come out soon.

No when I did my last candle there was a dark side and a light side. They were all quitters. I think during incubation my humidity might have been little to high and they didnt lose enough water. Although there air cells looked great the whole time. Maybe it was just a run of bad luck type thing.

Chaos - We need picture updates for the 6 babies :) I have read that shipped eggs can have much lower hatch rate, perhaps that could have been the problem.

Ralph - Those little guys need to get out of their shells, we are waiting for fuzzy butts here (insert impatient foot tapping here).

Aurora - Those dudes need to stop rocking their shells and get on with it!

Memphis - I'm working my way up to getting rid of two of the boys. I just can't part with my two lappers, so they'll stay. Big Bird is getting more outgoing every day, not a lapper yet though. She used to be pretty shy but curious.... I put up a new roost for her in the chicken side of the barn today, she was not enjoying theirs (a little closer to the wall than she likes). Now I'll have to see about a nest area for her. I have a pallet that might work if I lean it up against a wall. She's squatting a lot, so I imagine eggs will show up one of these days.
