Oh geez! Nothing cuter Coffee! Thanks! I needed that! :D

I can't wait till you get Porter. Your gonna love him.

Coffee, did you notice Ralphs post about Ginger? The guy that got him says he sits in his lap. Turkeys can make amazing pets.

I am SO angry right now! I just got home from my daughter's birthday party. We were gone for 3 hours at least. Before we left, I candled some eggs in the cabinet bator and set some more and then we left. The one time I don't watch it go back up to temp, it fails! It was down to about 70-75 for AT LEAST 4 hours! The auto water system failed and spilled everywhere. And NOW I can't get the thing to heat back up! It's hovering at 90. I took all the eggs out. Everything that I just set earlier went back in egg cartons and somehow I managed to fit 80 some turkey eggs in my little hova bator which still isn't up to temp because the eggs are all cold. I'm not a happy camper right now. I'm hoping that the spoiled water somehow impeded this thing. I have it running right now with no water in it and the heat cranked up to try to dry it out. The temp is slowly climbing back up. I just hope I don't lose all these poults!

I'm sorry for the rant. I'm just so frustrated right now :/

Pebbles is officially broody. I took the eggs she was sitting on today and gave her 4 from the bator earlier today. They're due to hatch next week. Think she'll be ok getting babies so soon? She just went broody a couple days ago.

I think you guys are funny, I try to keep my turkeys away from me, not have them sitting on me. I prefer to sit on my bench and talk to them through the fence then be able to walk away without them, maybe it's because I have 15.

Oh geez Aurora. ...what a bummer. I'd be frustrated too. I hope they will be ok. No idea what to tell you about Pebbles. She may be one surprised moma.

Oldhen...my two hens are like dogs with feathers. They bond strongly with humans & make great pets. They really like the attention. I find them humorous.

If I had 15, I don't think they'd be sitting on my lap - they'd probably be busier being turkeys :p I only have a few chickens and a few turkeys so mine are definitely more pet-like than livestock.
