A century of Turkey talk 2000-2100.

Neither of my hens sit on eggs at night. But then again, it's not real cold here. Aurora, so glad Pebbles is up & out!

Holm, your roo looks like he's enjoying the attention. How old is he?

So I don't know if this is the place to share this, but......

So today, my dog brought me one of my neighbors turkey eggs. She has white turkeys and black turkeys. (I don't know the specific breeds

) So, I have decided to put the egg under my broody silkie. Any advice on how to raise it? Can I just let it think that it is a chicken?

I just heard it's National Poultry Day...go hug your hens!

Annie is still circling that same holly bush. I guess she's still trying to decide if it's a proper nesting place. And Daisy is like...la-dee-da...I need attention!

Welcome to the thread..

Yep, let the turkey think it is a chicken. life will be good. If you have other eggs under the silkie remember turkey eggs take 28 days not 21. Most Turkeys seem to have identity problems so one thinking it is a silkie should be normal,

Candled my first round of eggs from my flock.

All are showing signs of developing.

So my boys are doing their job.

Don't know who mated with who so will be interesting to see what hatches.

Memphis I think he will be three this fall. He was hatched in octpber and would have been two years old last fall.
