A century of Turkey talk 2000-2100.

Fiesty-it's so hard to avoid the feed store! We were in there yesterday and left with 7 meaties lol. We've never had them before but they were already a week old and marked down to $1 each. There were only 7 left anyway (the only chicks left in the store). We couldn't resist!

So, you all remember the little polish chicks? I only have 1 left of the origional 3. One died, one was sold. But anyway, he/she is almost fly feathered now and developing QUITE the little hairdo! I'll have to get some pictures for you guys. Well, 3 weeks ago, I brought home some hatching eggs from the guy I bought the babies off of and this morning, I have 9 little cotton topped polish babies running around :) there are 2 eggs left. I'll have to check them and see if they quit or not. I have eggs that need locked down! Lol

Nothing to do with turkeys but i figured I'd show off some of my babies from this year :) I'll try to get some polish pictures later on.

Lavender ameraucana babies :) SURPRISE! My birds carry the gene!

Gevshiba....Bostons are fun dogs! Will you do agility with it?

Feedman....where are our poultry pics?

Loving all the chick pics!!

Morning all....

Memphis, I like that picture too. That is the little SS that insists on being held every night. As soon as I held the phone up to the cage it came running to check it out. If I walk by the cage it comes running to see me. There is such a difference between Creamettes and the SS. Creamettes stampede away from me, SS stampeded towards me.

Aurora..... Not that I would ever complain or say a nasty thing,,,BUT why didn't you send me some of those eggs!!! I love the lavenders. I want Marans, but I am leery at the same time. I worry about their combs. I do like the dark eggs though. I want a dark layer.

I am thinking I might have to expand my breeders. I think I should get some Poofy breeds, Cochin, silkies and so on. It seem the suburban chicken people like them...

I did agility with my first Boston. I lost her last year just short of 15. She had her ADCH and MACH. She was 4 QQ from her MACH 2 when I retired her, due to cataracts. She was a super fun dog. I have another who should have been a great agility dog, but he's also a rescue and he can't handle the stress.

Sorry, I couldn't resist! BTW, this dog was 12.5 inches tall. That bar is set at 16". She's jumping at the 26" jump cup height. It wasn't efficient, but she was a crowd favorite.

My dogs did it a few years ago. One passed one didn't do to stress my son was sick in and out of hospital and Drs office my partner rushed to fast with the other one. The one stick in a cage was upset at the other one for passing. Good athlete

This was so cute, I had to take a picture last night.....

Please forgive the quality. It was dark and I did not want to use a flash and scare the babies. It was so cute it was like a baby, limp when sleeping..

BTW the pen is not as dirty as it looks. I changed the diaper pad yesterday, but they spread feed everywhere mixed with a little poop it looks bad..
