Before laing for work I clipped a box fan onto the turkey coop. Going to be close to 90 today. Just got home & found both turkeys standing on their lawn chair, wings held open about 8 inches from the fan. Just enjoying the day!

We have a guest at our house tonight. Found this little girl along the side of the road, not far from our house. She's emaciated and dehydrated, poor thing. She smelled like something down and had poop all over her butt and legs and ticks all around her eyes. Gave her a quick bath and I'm going to pick up a bottle at the dollar store tonight and some goat milk. Calling wildlife rescue in the morning. For now, working on getting her hydrated.

Aurora, any thoughts as to what happened to the mom? Since baby was roadside, do you think she could have been hit by a car?

I sure hope the goats milk will do it some good ..

Ya them ticks will really drain the little fawn so good job and take plenty of photos of it before animal control takes it away

I couldn't find any goat milk. I'm going to have to run to the next to the next town tomorrow to the Walmart or there. For now, I grabbed soy baby formula. She's having a hard time figuring out the baby bottle.

Aurora, any thoughts as to what happened to the mom? Since baby was roadside, do you think she could have been hit by a car?

No clue where mama went. Maybe she just abandoned her. She very wobbly on her legs but not injured, just weak. I doubt she was hit by a car. Our little area has only a few neighbors and very little outside traffic. Any of our neighbors would've picked her up immediately if they'd hit her.
