A century of Turkey talk 2000-2100.

Couldn't get my babies to strut again.
But the ones I put outside this morning are liking the bigger pen and roost bars.

The guinea keet that was under the turkey was not looking good. I brought it in gave it some water put in the brooder. But he didn't make it.
The 2 poults seem to be doing well.

Hung some more wire around my pens. Need 20 more feet and all will be complete til I expand.

Picked a 5 gallon bucket of cucumbers. 3 sacks of green beans. Have several zucchini and yellow squash that will be ready in a couple days. Garden is doing quite well.

Sorry about the keet :(

Sounds like your garden is doing phenomenal so far! We harvested our radishes yesterday and have them drying to make radish powder. Our green beans are still pretty small but the sunflowers, corn, tomatoes, and peppers are shooting up. The garlic us looking great and I can't wait to pull it. I'm panting more bush beans tomorrow along with some kolorabi and snap peas. We started our garden way too early this year. We always seem to rush it but up here on the ridge tops, we're a few weeks behind everyone else. We managed to luck out and not lose anything to frost.

I know I'm long overdue for mottled pics. Maybe tomorrow...

Harvesting already!! Wow, I will be three weeks before I get a radish.

I made a switch with Ethel tonight. I got about a dozen beak strikes to the hands and wrists for this. She did not willingly trade eggs. All 8 of hers were clear, I gave her 11 live guinea eggs, I could see the keets moving inside them. I hope they hatch.

Your a brave man Ralph....I hope they hatch too. Ethel needs some babies!

Wow Feedman....thats a ton of stuff from your garden already! Do you can some of it?

Ralphie: sending you the best on Ethel hatching out those hooligan guineas.

Memphis: I'm more along the lines seeing if I can get something to grow.

I might eat 1 or 2 batches out of the garden. After that I feed it to my birds and give it away to people that want it or need it.

What I grow for me is watermelons and cantaloupe. Those I'm stingy with.

I've been sharing my watermelon with the girls. They appreciate a nice cold piece in this nasty hot weather. And boy, it's nasty hot here right now. Daisy may be a pool hog, but Anne LOVES her fan! She gets as close as she can.

OK everyone I think Ralphie will get Mr. T. If he doesnt have any cooties after chicken doctor Ralphie tests him and his flock mates lol. Lots of paperwork and stuff but I think it will be worth it in the long run. Mr. T deserves to go into a breeding program. Its kind of a waist of an amazing bird with quite a bit of pontential.

I have started the paper work, I think Mr T will fit in great with the babies the Porter eggs should give me.

I am thinking Mr T over Holland White, Royal Palm, Red blue bronze and maybe a bronze.......

I will test breed him as soon as possible with a Blue just to make sure of what he is. Calico or Fall Fire. Either way I am excited. Holm was here today and helped me capture my Felonious Guinea Hen and he threw her in the maximum security prison for the summer... Boy I wish I was his age again. He is so spry compared to my old bones...

He confirmed some bad news for me too. I have been thinking my two oldest White sports might be roosters but was afraid to voice it... It is official he says they both are...

The good news is I have 4 young ones coming up. 2 hatched in last 2 days. I am hoping for 4 hens there!

PARTY FOUL!!! I'm stingy with watermelon. Mine get the rind after I've cut out the meat. But it's still cold and they love it all the same.

Hope it all works out for you, ralphie, and mr. T. Happy to hear you caught Ralphs felonious guinea.

Glad to hear of your potential acquisition of Mr T.

What did your guinea do do deserve maximum security? Must been bad.

How is lizzie doing in the tree nest?

Holm, your quite a guy. I think Mr. T deserves to be bred too. Not only will Ralph give him a great home, just think of all the cool looking babies he will produce. Have you discussed maybe getting a few of the babies back? I only wish Ralph had you on video guinea wrangling!
