Well we have a heat index over 100. The humidity it out of control. Scary combination. All the hens are hanging out in front of various box fans. In this heat i worry about my older girls. Some of my SS are getting up there in years. But they are smart. They stay in the shade by the fan.

Daisy & Annie are parked right in front of their fan. If Annie gets any closer she's gonna loose her beak! That red head is the biggest fan hog!

White sports are a Cream legbar with two recessive white genes, which manifests itself in a white Cream legbar. They are beautiful birds.












Toads are what I call my own breed of broilers, They are basically 3/4 CX and 1/4 Dixie rainbows.

It is hard to see in the photos, they grow fast but eat less than CX's do. They do not have to have feed restricted as much, and they get taller with bigger thighs and legs. The breast are a tad smaller but not enough to notice in most cases.

I just got two Rio Grande Wilds from the local Feed Store they're already imprinting on us since I lost Mars it's been difficult to make myself want to get attached to another bird, I'm hopping that the Rio Grande Wilds will be just as neat in a different way as Mars was
