A century of Turkey talk 2000-2100.

Countrygirl, welcome to the group. And Im only about half kidding.....I can picture Ralph scolding, pleading and demanding his birds do as he says. They never had a chance, his logic is as sound as Spock's from star trek

Countrygirl, Welcome to the thread and grats on the new turkeys...

Also you brought tears to my eyes when you asked about the turkey litter box.........

I wish my own kids believed me as much as you did!.....

MY Younguns are through with free ranging. They are locked up now and will be locked up permanently in the "Guinea Gulag" shortly.

I got rid of my extra Guineas so the young breeders for next year and the young turkeys will be moving into the "Guinea Gulag" shortly. The roosters currently living in there are moving to a place closer to their final resting spot.

Hey guys haven' been on in a while. Reading all the posts i see that most of your birds are going into molt, my dummy of a tom Oliver went into molt in breeding season! Why would you loose all your feathers when you need them the most Lol

. The poults that my bourbon hatched all died 2 went early but the other two were healthy for so long and all of the sudden after a thunder storm they were both dead

but one of the poults we got from a friend of my dads is as big as my hen and is doing well. I will post pictures of him/her later and will see what you think about gender.

Countrygirl, hens will have tiny feathers up the back of their necks & on their heads. Toms are bald. I cant quite tell from your pics, but still look like hens to me.

Dgibson, sorry about your poults....
