I've had EEs go broody over the years who I never let set any eggs, because until this year we had no roos. They took the job VERY seriously and we had to remove them from the coop and put them outside for a couple of weeks to break them. I wish I had the opportunity to see how they would do with motherhood because they would snag up eggs as soon as they were laid and scream the other hens away.
