A century of Turkey talk 2000-2100.

Yeah i grew up doing it as a kid and vowed to never do it again!
So was thinking there was maybe a place that does that now. I am going to check around in my area.

When I was a kid the menfolk would chop the turkeys' heads off with an axe, but we kids had to do the plucking.

I wish there was some place around here that would butcher poultry. I do it but I hate it.

I skin all of my birds. I tried plucking a couple years ago. Did not go well.

Please note, I did not say it would go well,,,,,

I am home, I love my birds!

I saw penguin, he/she is one ugly bird. I cannot tell if it has a snood or not. Today is a day of catching up and getting the little guys out. I also need to work on weasel control.

The turkey on the eggs is not the same one that was one them when I left.....

I am not sure what to do in there.

Ethel is missing, I guess that means she is sitting on eggs. No Idea where, but DW saw her a few days ago for a few minutes.

Ralph they are so cute! I hope you find Ethel on a nest somewhere.

Ethel is in the yard right now scarfing down layer mash and water. This is the first time my DW has seen her in 5 days. Ethel is a very serious broody when it is her time.

I am not even going to attempt to find her nest. I know how that would turn out, she would win the hide and seek game.

I am just relieved to see her in the yard.
