So first...Penguin is the cutest little belly button EVER! Is he the only black one?

Second...I keep going back to your flock pictures. Each time I see something different. I'm heading to Porters. I'm intrigued by the one who's color is so different.

I had one or two other dark ones, but they died from predators. My fault. I moved them to soon to a free range area. I had them safely locked up but as soon as they could fly over the fence, they died.

Memphis Look at the Lilac, Is it possible he is a lilac? I know there is a 6.25% chance of getting a lilac from Ethel and JJ. Same chance as getting a black.

Wow Ralph - I'm having some serious color envy over here. I want an Ethel and JJ to make me a multi colored flock! You do need a Bourbon Red though.....Aurora or I should mail you some eggs Those are some beautiful belly buttons..... including Penguin and Ginger I think that could be a lilac, now I must go and immerse myself in Porter's pictures lol. I'm supposed to be packing, but Porter's sounds like much more fun. I fly out in the morning.....lots of time to pack yet

My very un-expert opinion is that Penguin is a Rusty Black and that your mystery color is Lilac Both gorgeous colors!

I'm thinking lilac too. Keep getting interrupted by my DS who thinks I should be helping her cook stuff for tomorrow. Porters has multiple pages that shows different colors. There is the main page, the genotype page, and the "other" color combination page. Trying to compare between chopping crap for the dressing.

Ralph. ..when you go to Feathersite, look up "Porcelain " too. Also you may want to take a side trip over to the "Other Hybrids"....he's got pictures og guineas bred with all kinds of wacky things...chickens, peacocks. ...etc. pretty funny!
