A century of Turkey talk 2000-2100.

I did that bird is too dark for mine. This is very faint colors, which is why it has been so hard for me to capture the color. Luckily he was displaying most the afternoon and I had my phone and got the pictures.

My new really exciting find.

We added onto our old farm house. I dug out a basement under the addition. It was ground that may have never been dug up before. I took the excess dirt (sand, we have all sand and no rocks here) and moved it across the drive and leveled it for future parking.

The birds scratch there. This evening as I was walking across the dirt I looked down and saw this lying on top of the dirt. The chickens must have scratched it up. having no rocks or stones it stuck out like a sore thumb..

THAT is amazing! Any idea of how old it could be? What kind of rock is it made from. I want to know more!

I went online and looked for arrowheads the same or as close as I could to this one. It is from a period called "archaic Period", That is 2000-8000BC.!

I am guessing where I live would have been a hill surrounded by water on three sides back then. I have no idea what vegetation would be. I am going to look up as much as I can about it. My Grandpa dug up lots of knifes, arrowheads and bones when he was clearing the fields back in the early 1900's. My cousins have them. They came from a spot 2 forties north west of here on the river, (also family land like this was) However, that land was stolen by the federal government in 1969 to make a goose refuge. They are still waiting for a goose to move in here.

I've always relied on Feathersite when I'm considering a breed of chicken. I like how he usually describes temperment. And is usually packed with pictures. It's a way cool site!

That's really awesome Ralph!

I'm really thrilled! My apple pie just went in the oven for tomorrow and for once, the pie crust cooperated with me! I'm keeping this recipe. It worked lol. Fyi-I hate making pie. It NEVER works out for me lol
