A century of Turkey talk 2000-2100.

Oh geez, freezing rain is the worst. We get ice more than snow here. But we are on the delta so it's pretty flat.

Aurora - Please drive carefully, I think freezing rain is one of the worst to drive in!

We're frosty here right now, but apparently it's going to warm up overnight and start raining again. Ew! I'm tired of rain already and still have months of it to go lol. I will look ahead to a winter vacation in a warm location in January :) Is it spring yet, I'm tired of living in the dark???

I'm really surprised by how little the cold bothers the birds, never experienced winter with them before. They would quite cheerfully spend all day and night outside (in the cold or wet), rather than going into the nice dry barn.

Got to visit with all my feathered pets today, which totally made my Monday, I missed them while I was away :D

Thankfully, the drive home was fine. They were salting it good and I didn't see even the slightest hint of ice though the fog was a little rough. I can handle snow just fine (usually) but ice gets me very nervous.

It took almost 2 and 1/2 hours to get home tonight. Snow and slush about 6-8 inches deep on the south half of the twin Cities, the north half was better I could do almost 30 mph there.

I am afraid I will have a lot of snow to plow in the morning.

Oh wow, glad you made it home safe! You just reminded me that I need to get the plow on our tractor before the snow gets to us too. I know it won't be long.

I put the plow on the 4 wheeler the other day, but I am afraid this is going to be bobcat level snow. I hope I can get it on tomorrow. It only takes a few seconds unless the snow make me spin out when I have no attachments on.

It's only rain here...still. Been raining since Friday. Supposed to clear out today. The mud is making me nuts. I'll take driving in the rain vs snow/sleet anytime. We don't have plows down here.

The birds don't mind. Neither do the dogs. But muddy wet dogs are the worst!

It is still dark here, I am worrying about how well my bird netting fared in the snow.....(fingers crossed) I hate to have to buy and put up more, plus the timing stinks with my trip planned. I am not sure what I will do if it is down.
