A century of Turkey talk 2000-2100.

It was just beautiful here today. Let the girls go out to the front yard to nibble clover. All was well until a contractor pulled up across the street in a pickup. She watched him pull up & park, then bolted toward the truck. Just as he was getting out. The guy squealed & hopped back in the truck. He was afraid she was attacking him. :gig I had to explain she was just trying to car jack him. Dang bird is obsessed with cars/trucks! :/

I was totally waiting for this - an occupied vehicle chase

Hey folks, we have a new development with my wife's White Holland BB Tom, he has started playing in the water bowls. He pulls up his little "hang dangler" (as we call it) gets this goofy expression on his face and starts pecking the side of the bowl splashing around and throwing water all over the place. We don't mind having to mop because the it is well worth the laughs.

Yes it's midnight here, the poor guy was cold so we brought them both in gave them both some water this is the second time he's done this the first time we thought was just him not getting enough water but this time the bowl was full and my wife was pouring water in as he was drinking he started going for the stream of water and then turned into a total goof ball.

Turkey parents

Turkey love water and some will even lay down in the pools. They also cool their selves off with water.
My chickens will also stand in the pool to cool off.

I put a kiddie pool or for mine last year and put them in it a couple times and they just panicked and flew out lol. They did circle it and chirp at it repeatedly for a while though.

Yeah, mine love water. They will sit down in the baby pool. If I am watering, Daisy likes to stand in the stream of water. Guess she likes to cool off those big 'ole feet. They seem to like the rain too. I spend a lot of time making sure my six waterers have fresh water in them. But if they can find a little muddy puddle they prefer drinking from that.

Did we lose Ralphie again?

My Bronze Hen hasn't done anything like this but she has a totally different personality than he does. Lately with me being semi laid up with a broken foot she doesn't want to leave my side, and to top it off our daughter brought home some kind of cold from school that I picked up too so now Mars thinks she has to mother hen me.

Jupiter is the goofiest Tom I have ever known

Decided to keep Annie "back of house" for now due to her vehicle obsession. Just can't have her bolting after folks vehicles. It did freak that guy out yesterday.
