We refer to Porters quite a bit. Great reference site when trying to identify a variety of turkey. We also love the Turkey Calculator. But it's addictive! One of our little turkey group, Ralphie, actually has a picture of one of his birds on the site.

If you do buy poults from Porter's be sure to say that they are not for pets since the laws prohibit Porter's from selling turkeys as pets. They have a link to the explanation on their front page.

R2Elk thanks for that heads up at first I thought it was some BS state law that you were talking about but now that I've read it I understand and surprisingly agree with it can't believe I actually agreed with the federals (I knew I was sick).

Did check in with the Surviving Minnesota thread. They think he's in pursuit of Taylor Swift since it didn't work out with Carrie.

Turkey Parents, if your going to order from Porters, better do it soon. He sells out quickly. Several of my friends put their orders in back in October. My problem with Porters is I want one of each! Have you tried the calculator yet? I love that thing!

It's going to be almost 80 here today. How weird is this weather? Freaky!

I ordered from porter already, I hope I get enough auburns for my breeding program. I still need to buy more bourbon reds I only ordered four. The color I'm breeding is the Whisky Brown( bb ee rr) Memphis I also want one of every type of turkey! I should of ordered sweetgrass... Oh well

Copper, I hope you get your Auburn too! Friend of mine tried to order Sweetgrass last February and got put on the waiting list. He was bummed! The weather really affected his ship dates last spring. Everything was late due to the cold weather.
