OK, these palms and mottleds are being serious belly buttons! They are at just the right size where they're still light and agile enough that they can easily fly over the 6 foot chicken wire fencing. Seems like every time I turn around, Princess (palm) and one of the mottled babies are in the chicken coop where there's a bowl of food for the youngest chickens. Which means they figured out to go in the run, up the ramp and in to the coop. Of course, they know how to go back out the pop door and in to the run so it's harder to catch them :/ Queenie (other palm) and Cuddles (mottled) are the other two that are always out. Queenie is the one I picked up at the swap so she's NOT one to be held or want attention so she's hard as heck to catch. At least Cuddles loves to be held and will come right to me. I'm just glad they don't go far without their flock. Young belly buttons. Seriously.
