A century of Turkey talk 2000-2100.

Lol thanks! I thought that would be a good Christmas thing. They looked like a little herd running around that day

I should get a better pic though, now that there's snow on the ground lol

I was trying to figure out what she was talking about. I even went back to see if I missed something...

Then I figured out she was talking about that picture of those disgusting creatures you have on your avatar.....

fiesty: glad to read coco is possibly getting better.

aurora: nice avatar. it would be better with a Bourbon red.

memphis: if you get the leggings and fleece jackets on Annie and Daisy need pics.

On my side I have a line on a Bourbon trio that I can get first of next week to replace some that were lost. so it's a start for next spring.

Bourbon trio sounds great Feedman! Hope you can get them. Few friends stopped by this afternoon. Turkeys had to be in the middle of everything, of course. They all were laughing at Daisy. She currently is sporting a mop of dark grey feathers on top of her head. Looks like a little mohawk. I think she's adorable. They were hysterical. I need to get pictures. It is a bit extreme.

This could be a touchy subject...and I'm not "body shaming"...but both of my girls seem to have packed on a few pounds. At first I thought it was the new feathers. I realize now they are just little fatties. Doesn't seem to impede their activities, or their flying. Is this normal during the winter? No change in their diets. They are eating the same feed and free ranging. I'm not big on treats. A little BOSS at bedtime. Is this normal during the winter? Or are they just maturing into a more matronly body type?

they are just accentuating their curves.
In hopes that you find them a beau in the spring.

I think it's normal as metabolisms slow down in the winter. shorter daylight and more resting.

They are just getting older like all of us. I have found, with my vast years (4) of turkey ownership, they do not gain weight that first winter and are kind of scrawny but by the second winter they become little porkers.

I will defer to R2Elk expertise's on this if I am wrong. I have that nameless Tom and keep wondering what he would look like on the dining room table. I think he is 2 1/2.
