A century of Turkey talk 2000-2100.

Bleh - I hate rodents  Unfortunately we have rats, mice, moles, voles, and shrews here (and probably some others that I don't want know about lol). My chickens will chase them, the turkeys won't... I don't have guineas, but it would be hilarious to watch them hunting!

I think we're almost out of squirrels here - like Ralph - DH opened season on them a couple of years ago and has pretty much eliminated them. They're really cute until you realize that they're eating as much (or more) wild bird feed and poultry feed as your intended birds are getting (starts to add up after a while, and they become "un-cute").

I think Big Bird has gotten over her attempt at being broody - she's been laying again for about a week - whew - dodged a bullet on that one! Did not want a broody turkey right now :)

Only good thing about the time change yesterday is that I got to actually see my birds in daylight when I got home from work today! Now if it would only stop being winter....

That's me went down to lock the birds in for bed and found Tommy perched all alone in his shed and where was Delilah? She had only gone and squeezed herself into the chicken coop and was perched among the chickens! I couldn't leave poor Tommy all alone so I picked her up and carried her next door.
Can you tell they were hatched by a chicken! They do make me laugh though
