A century of Turkey talk 2000-2100.

Memphis, just fyi, my bourbon hen is now laying... So two palms and one bourbon. I still haven't gotten the hotel setup but will do it this weekend. Anxiously waiting for the other hens to join the game (And yes Ralph that includes the webbed foot creatures).

General question: What temp and humidity do you use to incubate and hatch turkey eggs?

As for crazy birds, well I have to give that title to my cardinals... I have one who incessantly pecks at my chimney pipe, another who eats the sealant around my chimney, and finally the one who relentlessly pecks at my bedroom window.

How many days is the earliest I should candle? Tonight is 5 days for Ralphie's eggs. I took a quick peek Monday night when I was setting some other eggs and I had my candler handy, but I didn't see anything. That was only at 3 days then, so I keep telling myself to wait until Friday and not worry.

wait,.,,wait...wait.. do not over candle, practice self control.. I only candle when I need room or day 18.

99.5 degrees and 45% to incubate and 70% to hatch, We all have to find the right numbers for our machines and areas. I have cabinets and moving air.

I incubate at 100° and 35% humidity until hatch then I bump up to 65-70% to hatch

I think I mentioned this a few days ago, but...geez has Annie gotten talkative all of a sudden.

When I go out she starts this loud chattering. Not sure whats gotten into her. Her varried vocalization is hysterical. I'm beginning to think she's just my drama queen.

I suspect she is looking for a little romance in her life.

I dunno if I posted these here before or not but it can't hurt!

Those two were Ronan, my tom.
And, I know this is a turkey thread, but here's the new bull calf, Ferdinand! That's his mom, Speckles, in the back. :)
