I dunno if I posted these here before or not but it can't hurt! Those two were Ronan, my tom. And, I know this is a turkey thread, but here's the new bull calf, Ferdinand! That's his mom, Speckles, in the back. :)
Nice turkey. Always have found the Bourbon Reds to be an attractive breed. Strong Hereford influence in that calf. What breed is the cow? Congrats.

Finally saw a successful mating in my palm pen. I sure do miss my main breeding palm that got killed in a dog attack earlier in the year. My tom that's in there is pretty clumsy and aloof. Took him 3 tries but got it done.

Got another pen set back up. But found some birds I was wanting on Craigslist so they are now housed in it.

Been fighting a bad cold. Has pretty well had me knocked out today. Felt horrible so pretty much slept all day.

My turkeys are still withholding eggs. Maybe one day they will start.

All my babies I hatched in jan. Are now out in the main pen. They enjoy the space to run and play. Old birds don't seem to mind them. But 3 of my ccl hen babies didn't like the switch I guess and died. Still have 18 left. And 27 baby roos.

Still waiting on eggs from these girls... Ralphie I have been thinking. When they start laying should I let them hatch some or should I hatch some? I think I am gonna let my Cochins hatch some for me instead of the hens and then maybe just maybe the hens can try their hand at it this summer?

Holm, the girls look good!

Pheasants? Huh. Some of them are gorgeous!

R2elk, hopefully it won't get too cold & snowy yet.
