I think its the same person too. Kathy, didn't see the other post, just the turkey one. It was disturbing. On second thought....maybe we should encourage them having a house turkey...can you imagine all the chaos!

I thought about suggesting peafowl, lol, but decided some people might not appreaciate that. Can you imagine a fully flight capable 6 kg peacock? I know turkeys can fly, but a neurotic peacock could really do some damage.

Just had a thought... Tell him to get a male and to really bond with it, lol. I'm gonna guess that a human imprinted tom will behave badly, just like a peacock or rooster will. am I too evil?

They do sound like the same person. I saw them posting these dumb questions about a month ago, and checked their profile and posts. I came to the conclusion that they are a kid, and just trolling the forum for their own amusement. They probably know what they are suggesting will get a rise out of the poultry people.

Agreed. On other forums people like talking shoot about us BYCers so maybe its one of them lol.

Lots of posts in here today! I read through them all and now I forgot what I was going to say.

Oh, I know. Ralphie, you should try Langshans! Well, except their eggs are not real dark. Kind of dark, though. And they are just OK layers. Some every day, some every other. And of course, none when they go broody. And they also have a single comb, BUT- it's a medium to small size comb, and it handles winter pretty well. So it might not be so bad for you. At least it's a breed you can show! Anyway, I couldn't think of any breeds that fit your criteria, and I really like my Langshans, so I'm just putting a plug in for them.

Yes they do, and much of what they say isn't very nice.

Nope they aren't nice at all. But those are all the crotchety old breeders who treat newbies like complete morons. But I have managed to get along with them so I will stop bad mouthing them cuz now i am no better :/
