This was too funny

I wonder if there is a fuseable link of some kind we could find that opens up, melts or whatever at 102 degrees.

That would be wonderful.

Those cheap controllers are cheap enough that you should always keep a spare on hand.  If I was using a cheap one, I would have a wafer back up set at 102°F wired in.  If your incubator suddenly seems to be controlling at 102° you know that the primary thermostat has failed and can quickly replace it.

Thank you, that's a great idea. I will try to remember that when I get around to building a cabinet.

Never knew goats NEEDED laying boxes
JR you have too much time with photoshop! What a disturbing view. But it brings me back to one of my narri hens pecking me in the eye, when I was dumb enough to look up after she pecked me on top the head. She, of course, was disconcerted that I was kneeling in front of her, outside the fence, messing with the fence and not paying attention to her. She, btw, got elected to hang out with the bourbon tom. Looking forward to hatching those eggs.

Ralphie, all mighty keeper of the thread, I can't tell you how entertaining I've found this thread to be. It's my goto in the morning and throughout the day. In all seriousness, its loaded with good and useful information, plus a ton of humor. I'm happy Memphis led me here, so ya you can blame her for my presence.
