Now an issue I ran into with my cabinet. Dw called said it was making a loud noise. Asked I wanted her to unplug it. I said no. But one of my fans has quit. For those that have cabinets.

Does the fan in a 1502 effect the heating element on that side?

To the best of my knowledge the 1500 series cabinet incubators only have one fan in them and it sits right behind the heating element. The fan blows across the heating element.

If the fan was to go out the incubator could be operated as a still air incubator but would definitely have hot and cool areas and not be very reliable.

Unless mine has been altered. It has dual 24v fans in the top. But i cant find any 1502 showing dual fans. So not sure.

It took awhile to find what I was looking for. But here's the part I need for the cabinet.

This is what they put in 1502s made after 2010.

12 of 17 Turkey's hatched. Got ready to toss the rest and 2 are still moving so back in the hatcher. ( slow pokes).

Was messing with the Turkey's and chickens kept noticing large runny purple colored poop. Was starting to think I had sick birds. Then remembered the mulberry trees. They are fully loaded and ripe this year. My ranging birds have been having a field day eating them.

While I was checking those trees walked thru a bunch of fruit trees I planted over the last few years and 2 of my cherry trees had produced so I got a gallon Ziploc bag of cherries. But I think I ate more than what went in the bag.

Found a store closing out trees so I bought 10 cherry apple and pear trees and planted them today. Just finished and started getting a slow gentle rain.

Gonna keep 20 bourbon reds back. Think im going to limit flock next year to just bourbons.

The rest of the birds I haven't sold are going to the sale tomorrow. So my brooders will be empty again.

Just put 17 bug eyed babies in the brooder. Got one still in the hatcher--but don't have high hopes for him as he appears to have difficulty getting upright. Two round beaked babies in the brooder with several more at some stage of hatch. Maybe the power outage just slowed them down. We can hope.

Feedman, I'm jealous... I was supposed to get my orchard in early spring 2016 have my winter house sitting on the site. Maybe one day. I spent a year building the soil with compost, manure, saw dust and wood chips--but the good news is the deep bedding from over wintering the birds will certainly add to good soil. I think I'm going to plant corn and sunflowers in there this week.

Rjohns: goog luck with what you plant. My orchard has been a few years in plantings. I'm cheap I get most of my trees when chain stores clearance them. Most I plant for wildlife. I've had a lot of losses. An over abundance of bucks last year destroyed 20 trees by rubbing them in two. 2 apple trees I planted 5 years ago have their first decent crop this year.

I sold 50 poults at sale today. Kinda backed up and didn't take them all. Glad was not a sellers day.

Gonna keep a few more poults than was planning on.

Wasn't planning on buying. But they brought in a trio of bourbon buffs. Year and half olds. Got them for 60 bucks.

Got home tilled ome dirt and planted 50 strawberry plants.

It's hot and humid. Think I might get a cooler some spirits and go fishing the rest of the day.
