A century of Turkey talk 2000-2100.

Huh...so she joined the "wild side"! And has babies. Cool!
Daisy flew right at me at eye level. So I got a great chance to see her in flight. She likes to fly. But its usually chasing me while I'm mowing. For some reason.

Talking about strange behavior, my palm hens have a fascination with my avatar. We'll go out to do something, she'll generally lay down in the grass and watch me work. And here come the palms. They come up to her and peck at her backside... She'll get up and move and they follow. When she's had enough, she'll turn and huf, and that's enough to convince the palms to return to the safety of their fence.

That's so cool! She doesn't come if you call or shake feed or anything?
She's not afraid of me, but doesn't come when called. I can walk up to her and the polts and she doesn't seem to mind. I think she left because the roosters were mean to her. When she was a poult, I rescued her and nursed her back to health after an injury in her first shelter out of the brooder. Then released her into general population a day before releasing her brothers and sisters. She stayed in the pasture for a few days, maybe even a week and then left. I've seen her three or four times since, and just glad she's still alive.
